“The object of all virtues is to bring us into union with God, in which alone is laid up all the happiness that can be enjoyed in this world.” (St. John of the Cross)
A love of Jesus and a desire for true Christian perfection is the focus of the spiritual life of St. Joseph School. The Virtue of the Month gives students, staff and families the opportunity to grow in their love of Jesus and in Christian perfection. This school-wide program focuses on the practice of a Christian virtue each month during the school day and school related events. Families are also encouraged to practice these virtues in the home. The specific virtue, scripture passages, and activities for practicing the virtue emphasized during the school day are provided on RenWeb for family use.
The following virtues will be observed during this school year:
August KINDNESS
September PRUDENCE
October HUMILITY **
November FORTITUDE
December PATIENCE
January JUSTICE

“…if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly and he will be given it.” (James 1:5)
