Extracurricular

 

     Students engage in a wide variety of extracurricular and enrichment activities intended to assist in the education of the whole child.  Available programs are listed below.
 
The Legion of Mary meets afterschool on Wednesday and students in all grades may participate.  Fr. John Arthur Orr, Associate Pastor at Holy Ghost Parish, is the moderator.
 
Athletics 
     A variety of athletic programs are available to the students.  Click here for additional information
 
Band and Strings 
     Students in grades 3-8 are eligible to participate in these two programs.  Students meet each week once during the school day and once after school.  Mr. William Lovelace is the band director and Mr. Steve Benne directs the strings program. 
 
Beta Club 
     The National Beta Club is an organization that recognizes students for high standards of academics, service, leadership, and character.  St. Joseph School Beta Club is available to students in grades six through eight.  Students are invited to join Beta Club based on their GPA, conduct grade, and final class averages and attendance record from the prior year.  To remain eligible for Beta Club, students must continue to meet  established standards.
 
Drama 
     Students in grades 2-8 are eligible to participate. Practices take place after school.
 
Girl Scouts 
     Available through school sign-ups.

 

Math Club 

     Middle school students are eligible to participate in the Math club, which meets on Friday afternoon.  Mr. Dennis Hale is the Math Club Moderator.
